Complex Divisions

In temari with “complex” divisions, numerous poles are defined. The most basic complex divisions result in 6 or 12 poles (or “faces”) being created. More complicated divisions can result in hundreds or even thousands of faces. The ball is then divided with marking thread using these points, resulting in a complex grid of geometric shapes that can be embroidered onto.
