Missed (Temari 88)
This is a complex multi-face division that results in an elaborate series of hexagons and pentagons being created with marking threads. Above these I embroidered a bishamon pattern - tri-leg motifs interwoven with one another. Small windows between the motifs reveal the deep red mari thread layer beneath them.
Size: approx. 4.64" diameter
Materials: Rice husks, fiberfill, yarn, sewing thread, embroidery thread, rattle
Named after the song “Missed” by PJ Harvey.
